ATHLETE PACKET PICKUP
Packet Pick-up will be at the McAlpine Creek Park’s Chris Hertel Stage from noon until 5:00pm on Friday. Packet Pick-up begins at 7:00am on Saturday at the registration tent across the path from the Chris Hertel Stage.
COURSE PREVIEW / ATHLETE WARM-UP
McAlpine Creek Park is open daily from sun-up to sun-down. The cross country course is open during those hours. A course map is located on an information / way-finding sign near the Chris Hertel Stage. On Friday, event staff will be on-site until packet pickup closes to answer questions and direct you to the course if necessary.
McAlpine Greenway (paved path southwest of the finish area) is available for warm-ups once clerking has begun for the races.
AWARDS
The top 10 boys and girls from the Championship Races will be awarded with a spot in the Brooks XC Championships in San Diego on December 14th.
The top 30 athletes in each race will receive a Championship medal.
PARKING / TRANSPORATION
Weather permitting, there are roughly 600 parking spaces at McAlpine Creek Park (8711 Monroe Road). When the lots fill, you will be directed to overflow parking at Greenway Park Elementary School (8301 Monroe Road) or East Mecklenburg High School’s student parking lot (6800 Monroe Road). Free shuttle buses will be provided to transport from the school parking lots to the park and return. Shuttle buses run from approximately 7:30am until 2:00pm. Please be aware of these times if riding the free overflow parking shuttle. When sufficient spaces open at the park, they will reopen the lots periodically throughout the day. PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT ANY OF THE BUSINESSES ALONG MONROE ROAD!

Brooks South XC Championships merchandise will also be sold on Friday during registration. Sales will be on the course race day.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be available in the area behind the bleachers across from the Chris Hertel Stage. Hungry Howie’s Pizza will have a food truck in the same area.
